The ban has been in place for quite some time, Grayling responded to a question over whether it would be lifted and he is against such a move.
I'm not sure that I see the point of the ban. If satirists or comedians want to mock a politician now, they will pick a media shot from outside the commons which is fair game. What difference does it make if they are in the commons at the time of the speech. Their actions can still be mocked, but the imagery connected cant be shown.
On another note - bring back Spitting Image!

A far more informative post than your usual "look at me, I'm so edgy" bollocks.
In particular, I never knew Konnie Huq was married to Charlie Brooker. What a tragedy. But even worse. The disclosure that she has a sister led to initial excitement, rapidly followed by intense disappointment.
