will be interesting to see what happens with the Exeter 9's
White
Towsend
Maunder
Maunder
Snow

Townsend is only 22.

They are going to lose 1 sooner or later maybe 2. (Reckon Glous or Bath will be chasing one, especially if Vellacott goes to Wasps).

Hurray for JackM getting a game! With luck he stars and will be playing for England again by the 6N.

Dollman still strikes me as a bit of a passenger for Exeter, is that too harsh?

Good to see Maunder and Simmonds starting

Hoping Nowell can find a good bit of form as I think he is a useful option for England to have

Hurrah. I thought he’d disappeared altogether when I didn’t see him in the Premiership Shield sides.

Henry Slade’s break for Maunders try was pretty sensational.

He made a great one last week too. Henry is faster than I thought, or maybe he's gained a bit of pace this season. He's looking international class in the midfield and his big left boot is handy too.

Yep. He’s looked great this season. I was more impressed with him making Yarde looking like a statue than the outside arc, he’s shown that he few times, though both were class. The gas he showed against Wasps last week was an eye opener - it might’ve been the camera angle but Daly didn’t gain any ground. Nailed on for the England 13 shirt if he keeps this up. Dors will be both delighted and vindicated.

Why can't any of these players who are performing well at 13 play 12?!?! :-(

Slade looks as though he could play perfectly well at 12 and I think he has played well enough in that slot in the past. Pair hm up with Joseph or Lowzoski and England would have a decent looking midfield who actually have some footballing skils. No Farrell or Teo needed (with Cips/Ford/Smith at FH). Eddie Jones may not see it this way.

Slade often looks international class, and has always looked like a natural-born IC.

He's just never looked either ofnthise things when actually playing international rugby, or with the number 12 on his back.

How often has he played for England without Farrell inside him?

A surprising number of times, actually. Four starts at 13 sans Farrell.

100% agree. I was a fully paid up member of the ‘Slade for England’ club and then he’s disappointed me every time he’s work an England jersey.

I’d love for him to bring his club form to England, but he’s definitely not done so yet and he’s had a decent amount of starts to press a claim.

As I’ve said a few times before, Lozowski’s been far more impressive in less appearances for England. Some players thrive at test level, some don’t.

I’m about 50/50 on it being that and the way we’re trying to use him / midfield balance being pretty awful. In SA it felt like we’d made a plan for Teo at 13 then demanded Slade play that way.

As with basically every single problem in the world, it comes down to Farrell.
