No Cokanasiga due to concussion. Francois Louw's travel schedule across the last month or so is ridiculous and I'm amazed he's standing, let alone playing.

Burns at fullback (again?)
He doesn't strike me as someone I'd want at fullback

I was thinking that. Looked at the Bath team and thought, "Christ, they're going to get murdered," then looked at the Toulouse team and realised it was more two bald men fighting over a comb. I'd still pick Toulouse to win though.Digby wrote:Once upon a time this was a glamour tie

I think Bath’s pack and replacement forwards look strong. Having watched Bath play Chiefs last week I expect Bath will be very physical and Toulouse will need to be really committed to get anything.

Re: Bath vs Toulouse
This is a good looking Toulouse squad that could marmelise Bath! And look who's on the bench, the best scrum half in France, Antoine Dupont, just back from a lengthy injury.
Le XV du Stade Toulousain : 15. Ramos ; 14. Kolbe, 13. Guitoune, 12. Mermoz, 11. Médard ; 10. Holmes, 9. Bézy ; 7. Elstadt, 8. Kaino, 6. Cros ; 5. Tekori, 4. Verhaeghe ; 3. Faumuina, 2. Ghiraldini, 1. Pointud.
Les remplaçants : J. Marchand, Castets, Van Dyk, Gayraud, Tolofua, Madaule, Dupont, Ntamack.

Anyone else watching on Channel 4? Scarrett is an unbelievably good commentator

Bit of a mixed game so far. I really don't get what people see in Tom Dunn. He's an OK prem player, but I'm seeing little else really whenever I see him.

i like Dunn a lot. Very high number of involvements in the game, very low error count, good discipline and ultra consistent.
The game is teetering on the brink of being a good one. I sense we have 2 middling sides trying to locate the higher gears.

Both sides look shy of form / purpose.fivepointer wrote:i like Dunn a lot. Very high number of involvements in the game, very low error count, good discipline and ultra consistent.

I'd much rather Walker myself playing.

That's criminal from Roko. First chance to actually have some ball and he drops it!

Just like last night, why is it only the Premiership that's plagued by interfering, passive-aggressive TMOs?

A yellow for that, but nothing for the head lead into the ruck? Interesting. It is above horizontal, but he remains in control and lands him flat.

The most farcical match I’ve ever seen. Poor old Burns. I’d have stuck him at 10 and told him to make amends. It would also mean that Priestland could stop stinking up the place.

If Freddie Burns’ career wasn’t littered with idiotic moments like those two you’d be more inclined to forgive him. Blowing kisses to the crowd...really!?

Re: Bath vs Toulouse
Terrible to lose a game in that way. You have to feel a bit for Freddie but jeez that was monumentally stupid.

Hmm! Two get out of jail free cards used!!
Can't count on that for next Sunday's home match against Leinster.

And just a few weeks after Tom Homer made the same mistake.Timbo wrote:If Freddie Burns’ career wasn’t littered with idiotic moments like those two you’d be more inclined to forgive him. Blowing kisses to the crowd...really!?
Freddie's going to need a lot of time to come back from this, psychologically speaking this could be career-ending
