So after 2 games Glasgow have 5 points and Ed have 6.

Ed now have a double header against Newcastle and should be targeting 2 wins from it, they are slightly fortunate that they get home advantage first and I reckon if they win that they will have the confidence to go to Newcastle and get the win. I really wasnt impressed with Newcastle at all regardless of how much the BT sport are talking about them, they played simple rugby and were let back in the game by some silly decisions by Montpellier.

Looking to France I think the best we can hope for (excluding nil-nil draws) is a win a piece taking Toulon out the game but after that Montpellier winning both isnt that bad, I dont think they could beat Ed at home. Edinburgh should be targeting winning the group and getting a home quarter final.

Predictions

9 from the next 2 games and then either 4-8 from the final 2 games depending on the french double header.

Should give them 19 - 20 points but also pool leader.

Glasgow - Glasgow have far the easier round left, Lyon are out of it so cant really see Glasgow not getting 10 from the next round of games (weather dependent) and then a home win against Cardiff who should be out by then as they will get beaten away and cant see them beating Sarries (although that would be very good )

Glasgow should be targeting full points gainst Lyon , 5 against Cardiff and a LBP from Sarries so should be aiming for 21 but unless Sarries suffer some real front team injuries I cant see how Glasgow can beat that team away from home.

With the way its going its actually possible that it could be a Ed v Glasgow quarter final and then another scottish team in the semis.

I share your optimism but neither team has much leeway. Glasgow could easily drop points v Lyon and Newcastle will now be believing they have a real chance of qualifying.

If they did get through, an ed v glasgow quarter would be fun but I think I'd prefer they each played someone different
