Other 6N Games

So, France basically gave Wales the win there. Twice putting the ball into North's hands for tries.
They look better, but we say that every year before they fall apart. Wales were poor, but they got the win.

That is a bit of an understatement, we were diabolically bad in the first half.

Wales have no ball carriers in their pack. They’re a better team without the ball tbh.
JDavies motm, the one player on the pitch who kept his head in the chaos and just went about doing everything right.

Surely Rob Evans gets MoM, held the French scrum, played long, and the pen count was what, 5-1 in favour of Wales at the scrum. Crucial to the win given handling errors and how long it took Wales fitness to establish parity in contact

I’d have given it to Lauret.

Why can the French never sh*t the bed like that against us?

Once France started getting it all wrong, Wales started to try and match them a fair bit in my mind. Silly game at the end.

Evans is usually first rate and he was again last night. I've very rarely seen him in trouble in the scrums.
mad game. France really good in 1st half, but completely lost their way in the 2nd. Gifting 2 tries and effectively handing the game to Wales was appalling.

I really enjoyed that game. Well done to welsh lads.

Yep. Well done to Wales for the comeback.
I wasn’t really impressed with either side TBH.
Wales’ only decent moments in attack were the move for Liam Williams’ (correctly) disallowed try and Tomos’ try. Both North’s tries were absolute gifts.
France deserve credit for a good first half and starving Wales of the ball but I did think Anscombe was very poor though - he wasted whatever possession they did have.

I thought that French ginger-haired forward (Lambey?) who came on as a replacement was by far the best player on the pitch. How he could not be in ths starting XV is a mystery.

I agree but I don't really know why. It was horrendous rugby most of the time.

Not heavy enough...
Utturia and Fofana were also decent, while Tipuric was everywhere.

A lot of praise for the Welsh back row, and they are fantastic without the ball, but they barely won a gain line ball in hand all evening. Without ball carriers every game is going to be a real struggle for them I think, but they do seem to have a habit of somehow staying in the fight.

The Welsh showed what they can do the one time they moved the ball and didn't drop it, well until Williams dropped it in the act of scoring. France were far too easily undone
I suspect in other games against human sized packs the gypsy might come in for Francis to start and that will help
The other thing they might do is drop Beard for a better carrier, but the lineout is again a problem and that'll sure as poop undermine an attack

Christ, how awkward do all the Scottish players sound in their post-match interviews when they insist on crowbarring the phrase "BT Murrayfield" in? I think Laidlaw said it about 3 times - they've clearly been briefed on pain of lost sponsorship never to mention the stadium name without attaching the sponsor to it.

As it’s helping pay their wages, and for brand new academy infrastructure, I’m sure they’re not too bothered.

Interesting to see how Hogg got injured, Sexton getting some punishment too.

He kicked through and was taken out- but not seen replay, so don't know if illegal.

So my regular stream place is not working

Which worries me for tomorrow. Being outside the UK has its downsides...
