Correct. By all accounts a terrible venue for rugby.
But for left wing and a couple of spots on the bench, that’s pretty much Quins’ strongest 23.
Even without Farrell and Itoje, that’s a strong Sarries side though.
Quins need to find our mojo after a crap performance at home against Gloucester. We normally turn up against Sarries though.

I’m watching on BT Sport and there have been some really odd camera angles so far. For Smith’s penalty just now, they showed his face rather than his kick? Weird.

Maybe there's a Sarries player lying on the camera man stopping him from moving.

Had a ropey 10mins after the try and we owe that last try to JP Doyle.
We really need to keep Sarries scoreless while Symons is in the bin at the start of the second half as they will definitely come back in to this. Losing Marchant is a big blow for us.

Let off for Robshaw there TBH. Doyle did affect it, but I’m not totally sure he changed the outcome.

Quins hooker is going to cost them the game with his LH mistakes.

Re: Saracens vs Quins at the London Stadium
He got that wrong IMO.
Williams is detached from the ruck and off side.
Care gives him a shove towards being onside.
Williams tackles Care away from the duck and is the first foul play.
Care brings Williams to the floor (foul play).
Williams outs his forearm to Cares throat (exacerbated).
I agree with 2 yellows, but Williams instigated that, and exacerbated it.
Pity it rules out true try, it that's the rules

Thank god we've got Dave Ward.Oakboy wrote:Quins hooker is going to cost them the game with his LH mistakes.
What did you mean 'LH' by the way?

Mindless penalty from Ward almost cost us a losing BP there. Baldwin isn’t an exciting signing, but it will be lovely to have a hooker that can actually throw in to the lineout with a reliable degree of accuracy and not be a penalty magnet.

Yep. Got lucky there. Ward always makes a big impact off the bench, but you never know which team it will be for.Scrumhead wrote:Mindless penalty from Ward almost cost us a losing BP there. Having Sink, Horwill, Clifford etc. off the pitch in those closing 20 minutes we just didn't have the firepower to fight back it seemed.

Not a game to dwell over much. Saracens got on top after h/t and ground out a dull win. JP not at his best, allowing the tackler far too much latitude. The breakdown was a mess all game.

Agreed. Alofa didn’t do a lot wrong, but he’s a big step down on Marchant as well.Mikey Brown wrote:Yep. Got lucky there. While the signings we have made for next season aren’t stellar names, a good chunk of them improve our squad.

JP Doyle is a poor ref. Never normally make such an observation, but a junior ref would be getting a dressing down for that effort- inconsistent, incorrect, inaccurate, and in-a-poor-position a lot.
