Don't get me wrong, I'm all for encouraging fellas to be open and honest about feelings, and talking about issues...but we're still in the group stage and the timing feels a little wrong for this. Far too much potential for backfire and 2015 nightmares coming back.
France have potential BP matches against the USA and Tonga. Argentina have potential points against the US. Both play us too.
Perhaps I'm reading too much into things?

Mental Skills Coach Gilbert Enoka is given a huge amount of credit for the All Blacks success since 2007. (Bloody good public speaker, too).
On the other hand:

I don't see the issue. We expect Eddie to employ experts to get them physically fit; why would it be an issue for him to do the same for the mental side?

Mental resilience is as important as physical. If you know that you can battle against any adversity and still win, you are much stronger. It's the mental barrier than can be hardest to overcome. Think it's one of the reasons why Sarries are so strong. They just know they can win, their opposition know it too.

The only surprise is that this wasn't done 3.5 years ago
The answer is that it probably was, and we just didn't get to hear about it.

I have no issue with a psychological approach to sport..or just about any vocation or personal guidance. A strong mind and attitude are excellent traits to have to help deal with pressure and overcome things...it's just the revelation whilst we're still in the group. It's gonna look like money well spent if we fail to get out of the pool stage

Why not just mainline caffeine and meth and let them come down in an ice bath after the match?
