2 x Calcutta Cup tickets

Post by hugh_woatmeigh »

Morning all,

Have two tickets up in East 6 to the game on Saturday available due to a change in the size of our group. They're sold as a pair on their own - so not with the rest of my group which means you avoid my ranting

Would rather they go to a genuine fan who will make a lot of noise so thought I'd offer them up on the SMB before trying the weeg board. Face value of course, drop me a PM if you're interested and we can discuss.

Hi Hugh,

Very keen for these tickets. New to the site so trying to find the private message button!

Hopefully speak shortly if they are still available.

Hi Hugh,

Unfortunately as I am new to site I am unable to send private messages yet. If the tickets are still available it would be great if you could send me a PM and we could take it from there.

Cheers,
Phil

Hi Phil,

The reason for posting this on the Scottish board on RR specifically is that I know most members here reasonably well even if we disagree most of the time ;) I know that they are genuine rugby fans who have been following Scotland for years and years (not that this is a prerequisite!) so I would be confident that they are being used & not resold. A tout would make an absolute killing off face value CC tickets.

On the face of it you've signed up minutes after I've made the post. I know not everyone likes to post - some like to browse & read but I have no way of determining that.
I'm sure your intentions are good but I'd rather not sell them to a non-regular/new joiner on the basis of that risk. Sorry mate.

Hi Hugh,

Understood. Aware it's just words on a screen but I can guarantee I am not a tout... I'll come clean that I am English (potentially worse than a tout!) with a Scottish missus, hence why I'll be up in Edinburgh for the weekend. In regards to your post I got referred to it from the 'Rugby Forum'.

If you change your mind let me know! If you change your mind, but can't forgive that I am English I will also let you off! haha

Now, now play nicely. More than happy to provide a photo on Saturday in an Edinburgh pub with a pint or at the game if I do manage to find tickets. Not sure I would be paying the travel costs if I was just a tout! ha

I know some bloke called Derek who has a bit of spare time this weekend now. Says he wants to go to a rugby event with his “nephew”. I didn’t know he had a nephew. Anyway...

Nah - I managed to secure some tickets for this weekend, so thanks for the kind offer to your board brethren.

Felt bad seeing you'd made a recent post, now relieved you don't need them. Sold them about 30 minutes ago!

Blimey, that was all a bit of a panic, I was sort of gazumped with Mr Hugh's tickets ( my fault) and then managed to get some from the sru but then couldn't remember my password so had to re register and then my bank had to send me a code and all the time the counter at the top is telling me that I have less than a minute until I am logged out.
However all's well that ends well. Paid and printed and will be in the concrete cauldron on Saturday. I see there is a severe weather warning out to go with it!

Delighted you got tickets. It's not personal - I know people have work & commitments and can't be on RR to respond instantaneously but the last thing I want is going up to Edinburgh on game-day with unsold tickets!

dear oh me! there I was desperate for tickets which I eventually sourced and ended up having to sit through the most turgid game I ever had the displeasure to watch. The best part was when they announced that G. Ford was Man of the Match. That was brilliant, I didn't even know he was playing
