Just been announced:
Vs New Zealand, 7th November
Vs Argentina, 14th November
Vs Tonga, 21st November
Vs Australia 28th November
Not sure what I think about playing the Kiwis first up - would have preferred a warm-up, especially since the ABs are going to be out for blood after the RWC. Mind, NZ generally are slow starters into their AIs, so it might be a good time to catch them.
Speaking of RWC revenge, I'm surprised they haven't organised a game against SA. You'd've thought they could sell tickets for whatever price they liked for that.

Re: Autumn Internationals
Not to mention that we'll probably have to try to fit Italy in somewhere around there

Bye Bye Tonga, we'll bung you some cash and try and fit you in next year instead! That'll be the RFU's answer, no doubt.Which Tyler wrote:Not to mention that we'll probably have to try to fit Italy in somewhere around there
If it were me, I'd look to play Italy instead of the Barbarians game in the summer. We'd be missing all the players from the Prem final, but neither Leicester nor Saracens will be in that, so that's the majority of our team definitely available.

Their tactics from the RWC final v our version of the same (as used in the Ireland game)? I suppose it would be the ultimate in rugby-viewing masochism.Puja wrote: Speaking of RWC revenge, I'm surprised they haven't organised a game against SA. That seems the sensible resolution.Puja wrote:Bye Bye Tonga, we'll bung you some cash and try and fit you in next year instead! That'll be the RFU's answer, no doubt.Which Tyler wrote:Not to mention that we'll probably have to try to fit Italy in somewhere around there

I note the Argentina game kicks off at 8pm. Not sure thats the best slot for a game.

It's strange how whenever we get to actually play NZ in the AIs they always seem to be first up.

Are they our out of window game that we chuck money at this time, or is it Australia?Beasties wrote:It's strange how whenever we get to actually play NZ in the AIs they always seem to be first up.

Re: Autumn Internationals
My concern is that the NZ that rock up in AIs will be a remarkably improved outfit to that be beat in semis ( e.g. not using Barrett as a 6 for starters and maybe they’ll have found a special openside by then - feel that they still haven’t found a truly impressive fetching successor to McCaw)
