Bath starting pack look much the stronger. Should give a good platform for the talented backs. Bailey is apparently quite a talent.
I like the look of Cutting at hooker for Wuss. Lawrence will hopefully make up for a sub par outing last time against Bristol.

I’ve been impressed by Cutting too and 100% agreed on Lawrence. He was very subdued vs. Bristol.

It is a bit surprising not too see Mercer is skipper, but then McNally is an experienced leader so not that much of a snub IMO.

Certainly is. Equally adept at 10 and 12, and one of a group of very talented tens who have come out of school rugby this year; Bailey, Atkinson (Wasps) and Smith (Wuss) being the pick of the bunch, Smith being the one to get most excited about from a schools level, though that doesn't always transfer.

Wuss with 2 tries against the play - 1 intercept and 1 a simple restart drop that fell beautifully for Fidow.

Depth of talent at the clubs disposal really highlighted tonight. Wuss simply dont have a squad capable of mixing it with the better Prem clubs. No lack of effort but they just dont have the players. Lawrence looked good. He's got great feet and balance. it really should be a priority to get the ball into his hands at every opportunity.
Wretched luck for Butler to cop another bad injury.
Job done for Bath with a minimum of fuss. Their back row were excellent, Redpath and TdG put in some nice touches.

Was a good game to watch some excellent young English back line talent. TDG, Redpath and Lawrence all have bags of potential, and Harmer-Webb is pretty handy for a 19 year old too.
