Sam Skinner at 7?!?! I don’t follow Exe’s tram sheet too closely but this must be out of the ordinary. I’m not expecting an expansive game plan.

Replacing Jacques Vermeulen there - I don't think it's too much of a departure.

If this a pun in response to my tram typo then chapeau.

There must have been a few injuries last week sadly. Both the saffas by the looks of it which is a blow.

Minus Kvesic the Exe back row hasnt been one of any great subtlety.
Stern test awaits them, i think. Toulouse look very strong all round with heavyweight forwards and some high class backs.

Exeter look good on paper, though I tend to think a little slow of action on grass

Mouth watering clash this one. I think it'll be a game of brutal collisions and a culture clash as the free flowing Toulouse come up against the brutal efficiency of Exeter. Exeter like to build big scores they aren't the type of team to build on three pointers and will kick to the corner at every opportunity. They'll have to be accurate because Tolouse on turnover ball are a brilliant watch.

I think that this game might just show the weakness in Exeter and just what they are missing when it comes to scrum half. Dupont is a brilliant scrum half and for all the careful transfer work of Exeter it's probably one area where their options look like they'll only be solid squad options going forward. I've often wondered how Chiefs would have fared had they got Hougaard or de Klerk instead of White as their international scrum half. Could have taken them onto a whole new level.

There was talk of Skinner reinventing himself as an 8, so getting a start at 7 for Exeter is a promising move.

This should be a fantastic game, which I think annoyingly I’m going to miss.

Tolouse have great line speed but there's a lot of space out wide of Chiefs can get it there. Chiefs lacking a jackler whereas Tolouse seem much happier competing at the breakdown which is giving them the edge.

The latter but more a cheap shot than terrible.

Would be interesting to see a Jack Willis/Tom Curry in this Exeter team. Would that be a piece of the jigsaw they’re missing, or do they just not want that type of player?

They've got Hinckley who might be the kind of back rower that would offer more of a nuisance at breakdowns. LCD is pretty good at winning turnovers but so far he's not had a sniff of one.
Exe a bit lucky to be ahead. Toulouse posing plenty of awkward questions and looking very dangerous.

They are a bit lucky, but equally Exeter have had less of the ball but look like they’re going to cut through whenever they have a few phases. And in the red zone they are as efficient as ever.

More try’s to come for sure.

In about the 20th minute, Dupont won a wrestle against Ewers. How strong is the guy?

Once again, two horrendous lineout throws from LCD. That has to change.
