What do we reckon is the fewest number of surnames we'd need for a viable 23 from current players?
I recognise that having the Youngs brothers might save us one by getting a 2 and 9 combo, but even in a pointless nusing like this I'd rather rule out that horror at all costs.

Harry and for the time Johnny Williams. Clutching at straws completely you could then also go for Matt Williams the Worcester EQ backrow/hooker.
Or Tommy Taylor hooker and Henry Taylor scrum half.

And if Simmonds missses out, therefore you could put Jack Walker at 2 and Charlie Walker at 15 (he's played there (badly)).

Well one does someone correlate to the other. Not quite as much these days though given the national teams tendency to cap any import as soon as possible.
