Saracens vs Bath - The Last ... Throw of the Dice

Post by Which Tyler »

TV: BTSport 1
Ref: Wayne Barnes
TJs: Craig Maxwell-Keys & Paul Dix
TMO: Luke Pearce

And, PRL have just noticed that the midweek matches happened midweek, so all team announcements are delayed until this time tomorrow...
Speculation that some teams might be awaiting Covid testing results - or possibly have had a positive and are working out who counts as a contact going back 48 hours (or have a case where an extra 24 hours gives them more leeway with selection)

I wouldn't go as far as "should" especially on plastic; but it's perfectly achievable

Man for man you'd have to think Bath are favourites.
Scrums might be fun but there are interesting match ups throughout.
Bench might be factor, and here there is clear water between the 2 sides.

I was expecting a stronger side than that from Sarries. The starting XV is a little hit and miss and the bench is... patchy. I had thought Sarries favourites as they'd have better players but to win this it'll be about enforcing a style of play. Bath have tended not to play at pace but if they can move this Sarries side around the last quarter should see Bath be able to pull clear

Think it’s likely the best they can do.

Dom Morris has been impressing me a lot every time I've seen him play.

It's got enough big name players that seems likely, else why not pick a side more with next season in mind.

I'd still like to know what happens if there is no Championship next season.

We don't seem to be playing the "tackler roll away" law today.

Dunn VERY lucky to get away with a deliberate knock on

Bath stopped playing- suspect they switched off as Sarries were down to about a second team after 40 mins

Yeah, about half an hour to go, we just stopped playing, lost all momentum. I'd guess as a result on news that 2nd place was off the table. Sarries scented their chance, and for ruthless

Yep, really sloppy from Bath who tuned out in the 2nd half. Touch and go whether they make the playoffs now. Really they have only themselves to blame for failing to win this one.
