Going to be very tough for Bristol, hopefully we can get a result. Could really do with the injuries clearing up soon....

Bris do have a few back but they are still missing some key players.

Gonna have to raise their game to get a result.

What happened to Penaud with France? He was basically unplayable before the World Cup, by far and away one of their few players who consistently delivered

Great to see Damien Penaud back in action. He picked up an ankle injury in October, I think, and would have been a shoo-in for the French 1st XV. Clermont have been in iffy form this season, having lost two home matches on the trot, against Montpellier for the first time ever at home and then to Racing. Maybe Penaud will give his team a much needed boost. Hope so.

Bristol not looking that cohesive. Clermont just picking then off.

Why did the Bristol back stop chasing? He'd nearly caught the Clermont player for the second try just needed to commit to the tackle.

Should have been a third try if he'd noticed the hooker there.

This is how I imagine Bedford’s debut in the Champions Cup would go.
Edit: I typed the above prior to the driving maul try.

Having passed to him Sheedy was hardly going to then tackle him

Really like the speed of Randall. Trying too hard at times but looks a belter

I’d say jeans, regardless of cut, are unacceptable.

I’m not sure if Parra meant that but that’s superb. If it’s pre-planned to expose Randall on the wing it is brilliant. If it’s off the cuff it’s genius.

Great fun to watch. Clermont showing it doesn’t just have to be aggressive defence

Anyone know why Bristol hide Randall on the wing? Is it just size, as he's always looked pretty game in defence to me.

Malins has been class. As has Bristol’s attitude. Earl has been disappointing.
