Ealing v Sarries
27-26 to Ealing!
Great result for Ealing, but Sarries were under strength. Still good to see them lose!

Re: Ealing v Sarries
Not sure under-strength describes it when we're talking about only 1 of their England players and none of the 8 who went on the ill-advised Barbarians drinking trips. Still, good to see Ealing eke it out, although it doesn't bode well for them putting up an actual fight in the Champ!jimKRFC wrote:27-26 to Ealing!

How many internationals did Ealing have?
I would check myself but had a bit too much gin - trying to polish off the hibiscus tonic...

Re: Ealing v Sarries
Only 1 (Shingler on the bench), so it is a very good result from their perspective, but it does emphasise that Saracens are unlikely to face any realistic problems walking the Champ given that their toughest opposition could only squeeze out a 1 point victory when Saracens were missing 13 of their top players.jimKRFC wrote:How many internationals did Ealing have?

Re: Ealing v Sarries
How close to an Ealing first team is that. I expected to see Shingler, Guy Thompson and Van Vuren all start with their Premiership experience previously. Buckley has quite a bit of experience at this level as well. No Malton or Bodily and hasn't Charlie Walker joined them as well?

Re: Ealing v Sarries
Buckley played 6 games for Ealing last season only 2 was starts.
Alun Walker has been one of their best players for a while IMO so would be surprised if others are ahead of him atm.
Thompson and Korczyk are most likely a toss up, Thompson is 34 and will prob be rotating regularly with Korczyk too get the best mileage from him
