Not hating that Wasps team whatsoever, considering who we've got missing through injury and international, I'm very happy with that.

Please change the thread title to Wasps v Hardlywins

We need this to catch on.

Quins have the nucleus of a very good side. Be very interesting to see how they go minus Gustard.

Worried about this from a Wasps perspective!

Having Lewies and Symons back should make a big difference for us. If we can get Esterhuizen on the front foot and have a bit of the usual ‘bounce’ from a coaching change, I wouldn’t write us off.

On the other hand, we have Archie White starting which is never a good thing. I’m sure he’s a good lad but I don’t even like him starting in the A League!

Yep. I always scratch my head whenever I see White make a quins 23. It's not even a case of "Give the young lad a go" anymore, he's 23 and has shown no signs of being at this level

How long do you get to score a try? Surely it's the same as a tackle, if you don't get it down, and have to take a second bite at placing, it's held up?

When does ‘The [Redacted] Award for lowest performance to hype ratio from a new signing’ get changed to the ‘The Lima Sopoaga Award for lowest performance to hype ratio from a new signing’?

I don't see how that's a try. How long is a tackler really meant to wrestle on the floor before it's given as held up. I've disliked that rule for a while.

Umaga is just a massive fanny.

"I have to give my crayons back to Ben because he uses them in the week"

Who told Healey that he's funny? Cringe isn't a strong enough word for Healey's little stand-up segments.

In that case, he really needs to trim those pubes.

And when does the Jerome Schuster Award get renamed to the Toomaga-Allen Award?

That almost cheered me up.

Look at that first half and the contrast in contribution from Evans and Dombrandt. If Dombrandt reaches the level of involvement that Evans has then he’ll be a serious consideration for higher honours. As it is he’s a part time contributor. He’s got to up his work rate! He’s got everything in his locker except a continual work ethic. It’s very frustrating.

So that to me looked like quins tackled players out of the maul, bringing them down, a few times, but nothing given?

Is Shields on the pitch?

Enjoyed Quins so much. Quick ball and variety - the way to play rugby. Add in limited but skilful kicking together with real attitude and what's not to like.

Willis put in an absolute ton of work, but really looks like he should be taken off now.

I'm a wasps fan, but even through rose-tinted glasses watching this game and seeing that Umaga is ahead of Smith in the english pecking order is comical.

I'd not seen enough of Tom Willis to 'get it' before, but I think I do now.

Yeah, Smith is fantastic. Not just for his age. He's just one of the best English 10s in general.

It really doesn't matter though if Smith, Simmonds, Umaga, are MOTM and topping every single stat every single week, nobody is getting ahead of Ford (without Farrell stepping in at 10) which is a strange situation. Form has become a completely irrelevant discussion regarding half-backs.

Willis was easily Wasps best player.
Smith is simply miles ahead of Umaga as an all round 10.
Quins playing with an energy and direction that has been sorely lacking.
The front row were excellent, Evans superb and the half backs first class.

Spot on. But Jones is still in the job unfortunately, so we'll just revert to boredom next Saturday watching Ford and Farrell take it in turns to kick the ball up in the air aimlessly.

Too many missing for Wasps, along with a ton of injuries to boot. With key players it would have been closer, but still no guarantees, the Quins boys had something to prove out there.
