Ribbans called in to squad to replace Lawes.

Squad members with little or no action might be allowed back to clubs for some game time this weekend.

but not as scary as squad members going back to their clubs to increase the risk of infection, is that move to make Galthie feel better about himself? 'cause Galthie doesn't need any help to feel good about himself

ha, yes. Classic French self destruction when on the verge of something special, as they used to say near St Albans.

If they ditch him I hope we keep him in mind. We've already done some prep work post Burt on having a coach who's not worried about upsetting players.

And I've tended to enjoy watching Galthie's teams even if his man management can make Stephen Meehan or Jack Rowell look like caring types. Mind I enjoyed watching a lot of Eddie's work more than his England sides

Clearly we've come a long way as a country since being so amused by jokes about tits and racism

So, is Ribbans in as a realistic part of the 6:2 bench instead of Martin or is Ewels out of favour?

I really cannot get my head a round the gap weeks. Why have them at all? Why can Scottish and Welsh starters play for their clubs without risk (never mind the idle squad members)? Why are some of our 28 there at all and why only 'might' they get club game time?

Ewels was always a bit enigmatic to see (and I see him as being a very similar style of lock to Kruis) - not that I would be an advocate of this but seems like he’s in the same boat as Earl in that he’s had a few finisher cameos but still hard to gauge how best to use him in the context of current England set up and style?

The good news - from a French point of view, is that they should have nearly all their first choice players available for next weekend.
Ntamack is in the Toulouse squad for Saturday's match against Brive, all those who tested positive before the Scottish match are now negative and Virimi Vakatawa and Camille Chat should both be fit and hope to play for Racing at Toulon on Saturday evening.
Can't wait!

It sure whether Eddie is even allowed to call him into this COVID bubble squad, but Underhill is now fit and starting for Bath.

If we can send people back to their clubs, and that's still bloody weird, I can't see it stands in stark contrast to see the return of Cunderhill

As you have all the tools to defeat them. All depends on who remembers to bring their tools on the day.
