Tigers look to edge it in the front row, Glaws at lock and backrows about even. Hopefully Tigers can still get at least parity in the lineout and should be able to do a number on the Glaws scrum.

Get Reffell to apply some pressure to young Barton at 10. The old boys at 9 won't be much running threat so both 10s should get plenty of ball in hand.

Aye should be good. Agree your front row is far superior to the Glos 1-3, it's where we need a bit of recruitment in my view, although the ex U20's having had more game opportunity of late are now starting to improve.

36 has been flying out of the line regularly in our new defensive structure, that could be the weak area Tigers can exploit I think.

You weren't wrong about the impact of youth in the Glaws front row young Savile played really well before he went off. The drop in ability between him and Ford-Robinson exposed soon after.

Neither side are really getting their attack going. Rolling maul seems to be both sides weapon of choice.

This Championship ref we've got needs a promotion I think, better performance than a few from the more recognisable Prem refs I've seen this season. Not comparing him to Barnes or anything but I like that he's consistent and he's vocal.

Think the ref did well. Missed the first half completely, second half even enough, glos had many opportunities to apply pressure but lacked composure nearly every time. 36 just too slow these days but leaves it all out there.

It was an odd display from Gloucester. They had a lot of possession but just didn't do a lot with it. Heinz kicked poorly and Barton or Twelvetrees tended to kick long as well. It was a windy day which I think saved them a little because the gusts made the ball swirl all over the place. Barton's restarts though were fantastic, everyone I think contested with a number regathered by Glaws. In comparison Henry was dropping his high balls to land just outside the 22 which put a lot of pressure on and was probably key to us getting the win.

Young Barton looks a real talent but he stood very flat and distributed which ok he's got the quick hands to do that but meant the Tigers defence could fly up and Moroni shut down most of any potential wide play Glaws tried. That's when Billy should have been stepping in and helping the young lad by taking the ball to the line and bringing in forwards so that Barton could then attack with momentum. Henry did that well but Glaws defence was very good and were toying with the offside line. Tigers still look short of a big carrier who can carry through that kind of press. Nadolo and Weise should be back in a couple of weeks and they'll help provide that impact for us.

The teams were pretty evenly matched for me. Good close game which I think the ref helped by letting some things go so that the flow of the game wasn't broken up so much. Two relatively new coaches to their teams will no doubt be happy with how their defences dug in, how their youngsters stood up but be disappointed with the lack of a clinical edge in the opposition 22.

That’s pretty much it. All good experience for Barton, think that’s his second start only this season. Henry’s up and understand were very accurate for distance.
