More or less full strength side from Glos notwithstanding injured players, versus a less than first choice Exeter team. Wouldn't like to predict which way this will go.

Bit of a tactical change from Exeter - Tuima isn't an 8 in the Simmonds/Kvesic/Hinckley mould that they've previously preferred.

Re: Glos V Exe Friday
That's only a player or two from Exeter's 1st choice 23. Why so many absentees?

Exe with one eye on Europe next week. Definitely second string, though some good players involved. Plus they have an Arthur on the bench.
Glos really should win this one.

Think he is the nephew of Akapusi Qera? also loosely related to the Cokanasiga familyPuja wrote:Bit of a tactical change from Exeter - Tuima isn't an 8 in the Simmonds/Kvesic/Hinckley mould that they've previously preferred.

Exeter should be lucky to get just a point here

Glos do have ways of undoing anything good they do at the moment. That said, sticking with Barton at 10, and our first choice props back, plus May/LRZ available again there is at least hope.

Can they still qualify for the next round? I thought they were as good as out ...fivepointer wrote:Exe with one eye on Europe next week. Definitely second string, though some good players involved. Plus they have an Arthur on the bench.

FFS Exeter couldn't have fielded this team against us last weekend could they.
Team talk written for Glaws, just show them the Chiefs team sheet. There's not even the cavalry on the bench in case it's not going well on the field.

Glaws would be very disappointed to lose this.

Brother of Lagi Tuima. If he's as good as his sister, he'll be a good England option in a few years.Gloskarlos wrote:Think he is the nephew of Akapusi Qera? also loosely related to the Cokanasiga familyPuja wrote:Bit of a tactical change from Exeter - Tuima isn't an 8 in the Simmonds/Kvesic/Hinckley mould that they've previously preferred.

You’ve just ruined his chances of appearing on Who Do You Think You Are.

Yeah that is the weakest team I've seen exe put out for a few years. I will be interested to see how tuima has come on but this will be a cricket score.

I don’t think it will TBH. Gloucester are lacking confidence and even if that’s a hell of a long way from Exeter’s first choice 23, they’ll still be well-drilled and organised.
Gloucester should definitely win, but I think it’ll be closer than it looks on paper.

Re: Glos V Exe Friday
Is the Exeter selection an argument against the play-offs? Maybe we are seeing too many club games with sub-standard XVs.

Re: Glos V Exe Friday
Agreed - I'd even say that I think Exeter will win. They've got a very system-driven approach and everyone in that XV is very solidly inculcated into that system. Add that to a Glaws side low on confidence and with many changes and I could definitely see Exeter sneaking this one.Scrumhead wrote:I don’t think it will TBH. H/T 14- 15
Good back and forth game. Glos should have scored a couple. Lots of last ditch defence on the line from exe.

Re: Glos V Exe Friday
He's got that gliding running style. Does he get on the ball enough at 15 or should he be used off the wing running lines from the shoulders of playmakers instead? I think from the wing he could see more ball in positions where he can slip that first tackle and get away.twitchy wrote:Amazing individual try from hodge.
