With no back-up for Bailey either, so he'll get the full 80.
Rhys, Schoeman, Redpath and DeGlanville are all injured, but as far as I know Matevesi is available for selection, as could Worboys have been

Does look that way. It'll be Spencer to 10 if necessary and Chudley to 9 if anything happens, but hopefully he gets a full 80. Heard same about Matevesi. Maybe being given a break? Mind with the injuries you're going to need Bailey so may as well give him some proper game time.

My main takeaway - if Matavesi is available, is that it's showing real faith in Bailey.
Not sure if that's brave or foolish

Joseph v Joseph on the cards.
Good to see Ojomoh finally in a matchday squad.

Agree with the above, and...
Wouldn't fancy fronting up against this lot coming on with 25 minutes left: 16. Tom Dunn, 17. Beno Obano, 18. Will Stuart
Quite a unit to bring on!

A relation or just coincidence?

Alex Gray too, TBH - not exactly a subtle player

Just noticed - just the one non-EQP in the Bath squad this week

Going to be a interesting game this.
I’ve stuck my neck out with Bailey a bit (since he reminds me of Devoto in a way) so watching this game with interest

Blair Cowan got away with a filthy ruck entry with a hard shoulder straight to Henry Thomas' face.
Didn't even merit a look apparently

Woah. Parton making Watson look pretty ordinary there. Serious gas.

No idea what was going through Dunn's head there.
Clear red, even though there doesn't appear to be any malice, or reason

Only watched the 2nd half.
Parton scored a really nice try then Bath had 3 players binned, 2 permanently. It was utterly stupid.
To their credit they did to come back and get something out of the game but when will players learn that they have to maintain some discipline.

I had to go (Family Zoom) after the Dunn red card.
WTF happened? another red and another yellow - and yet we closed the gap with 12 men?

That LI back three are great. Can’t be too far away from the England squad

I only watched the first half and it looked like Bath were playing off 9 in almost a sevens fashion with Bailey playing in almost a creative 12 fashion as opposed to a flyhalf. Not sure it's a tactic that particularly suits playing against LI who love an open game and who will gleefully pounce on a misplaced offload to trying and set loose their rapid back three.
I'll be really disappointed it Parton doesn't go on the summer tour with England. Whether at wing or fullback he looks to have a well rounded skillset and pace to burn. Loader and Hassell-Collins must be in contention as well but aren't quite as well rounded yet as Parton.
I missed the red card carnage, what on earth happened? Ewels was a touch lucky to only get a yellow for a fairly last shoulder to the head in the first half. Maxwell-Keys very nearly didn't give him a yellow card because he wrapped his arms. He was very upright in the tackle but to be fair he was getting stepped by a fleet footed winger.

The Bath cards happened in the space of less than 10 minutes.
First Dunn inexplicably decides to shove his elbow into Creevys face when they come into contact without the ball. Its a straight red.
Then Muir clumsily takes out a player in the air. Fortunately he lands on his back and Muir escapes with a yellow.
And then Ewels shoulders into the back of an Irish player who isnt in possession. A yellow is properly given, and then becomes a red as Ewels had a yellow earlier in the game.
Irish entered into the spirit of things late on by getting a couple of players yellow carded. One must have been on the pitch for less than a minute before he's binned for coming into the side of a maul.
Bath score a couple of tries and get a couple of points out of the game.
Madness.

So now we know why Dunn was in the England squad. Jones will be pleased he's been doing his homework
