Saracens v Harlequins

Very slightly unexpected teams from both?

Saracens: Goode; Ashton, Bosch, Taylor, Wyles; Hodgson, de Kock; M. Vunipola (capt), Brits, Du Plessis, Hamilton, Kruis, Rhodes, Wray, B. Vunipola.

Replacements: Saunders, Barrington, Lamositele, Smith, Vunisa, Wigglesworth, Farrell, Tompkins.

Harlequins: Brown; Yarde, Marchant, Roberts, Visser; Botica, Care (capt); Lambert, Gray, Collier, Matthews, Twomey, Robshaw, Clifford, Easter.

Replacements: Ward, Evans, Sinckler, Merrick, Luamanu, Dickson, Hopper, Chisholm.

Moreso Sarries. Dropping hat-trick scoring Wallace seems like a big call. I hope Marchant goes well, I assume Lowe is crocked yet again.

Wallace isnt fit.

Marchant has the look of a stayer to me.

Itoje gets a well earned break.

Saracens did talk in the week about resting a couple in preparation for the game next week. Makes sense - their big marketing game is one thing, but a european semi final is probably more important in the context of their season.

Lowe, Evans, Horwill and Wallace all expected to be fit next week

I think Quins will sneak it or sarries will hammer us.

Got tickets on the cheap in the Saracens rock choir thing. Apprentice they've asked everyone in it to wear black. My jersey may be a little more multi coloured

Oh god. Healey? I think he's somehow worse commentating on Sarries games than he is on Leicester ones.

Jesus Care is a poor halfback.

in fairness he selected them both for the EPS, then Ashton got himself banned.

It would be easier just to say it's all a mess except the scrum.

Robshaw was doing well.

Goode looks a cut above anybody else on the pitch.

Also, Wembley is a right bag of shit. No atmosphere at all.

Haven't watched Quins for a few months, their kicking game is really terrible isn't it? Too many that are in the horrible middle ground where they're not contested or long and they struggle to get the ball off the pitch.

Saracens won that a lot easier than the scoreboard suggests. They were miles better than Quins who created very little and looked short of ideas throughout. Collier was good in the scrum - Saxons call up? - and Robshaw put in a big effort.

I wonder if EJ had Care and Brown in mind when he talked about England players needing to up their game?

For Saracens Goode was tremendous. He is a really consistently fine player at club level and the case for him being given another chance for the national side is a strong one. Ashton really good too in fairness. Billy goes from strength to strength.
