Good to see Nowell back. The FH contest will be interesting.

Ooh. It's a good choice of game to have on terrestrial - should be exciting if people can clear the mourning tears out of their eyes long enough to watch.

Unfortunately I'll almost certainly not catch almost any of the first half. May not even catch any of it. As a Wasps supporter, this may be to my advantage...

Exe should be smarting after losing last week. They can now focus on the league and try to find something like their best form.

Been catching some of it. Wasps unlucky not to be further ahead on what I've seen? The knock on from cordero, why was it just a knock on and not deliberate since it didn't look like he was going to catch it?

Ha, indeed. The wind has been cruel as well, but Robson really should have taken the height off of his kicks after the third one went backwards.

Fair to say he's been absolutely class following that charge down. Hard to know what to make of Wasps though.

We looked good until we started panicking. And we didn't need to. Odogwu needs to be moved to the centre, get him on the ball as much as possible.

There was a comment that he was guilty of over-running and spoiling moves. Has there been a suggestion of bad timing before? I did not see it but was wondering if that was a factor in the England training camp.

I tended not to notice the ball getting a position where he could over run, but I could be wrong

. When he had the ball in hand, he was bloody good with it.

Wasps didn't have a plan to exit in the 2nd half and that was pretty much that. Allied to a misfiring lineout and an inability to pass through the centres they had little chance of getting anything out of that, even allowing for the fact that Maunder did not play well, much too slow and then inaccurate once playing, not helped by some of Wasps' comedy rolling in the way techniques (fair play to Wasps for getting away with it, and extra marks to Taylor for some of his off the ball work)
Launch is just class, and Umaga continues to impress

Good game for an hour then it all went wrong for Wasps, too many simple mistakes that didn't happen in the first half. You've got to admire the way Ex pulled away in the last quarter without making it a turgefest. Wasps had worried them up til then. A better day at the office from Umaga, maybe he's learning some lessons and applying himself in response. Joe Simmons impressed again, he's winning me over, even if it wasn't the hardest of games for him.

Funnily enough, though a big fan of Simmonds, I didn't think it was the best of games for him- looks like he's lost a bit of confidence off the kicking tee, although it was windy. Umaga was certainly better than when I last saw him, but still a tad hit and miss.

I thought both Simmonds had at best a quiet day. A little bit lost having the pick and go rinse and repeat taken away perhaps, both should only improve for it.
Actually Exeter from 4-10 I thought looked somewhat missing in action, though that perhaps was still better than some of Hogg's efforts

The Simmonds brothers look like they’re running on fumes a bit to me. Definitely gradually dropped off in form over the last couple of months. They’ve both been playing non stop for about 9 months now without a break.

well yes- the complete change of plan threw some of the team.. Thought Hogg did chuck in some brilliance amongst the dross,

yep, they pretty much start every game, and neither has had much in the way of an injury break.

Neither Simmonds at their best, but then i think you could say that about a lot of players yesterday. An awful lot of errors given the conditions couldnt have been better.

For all their were mistakes I'd encourage both sides to keep going as it was a reasonably entertaining game. Other than Hogg, who I assume was focussed on how his new hair would look in a Lions shirt, that was just rank bad. #genuine fullback
