His original position, I like him there.twitchy wrote:Malins at 10.
I’d like to see Harding start.
Big back 5 for Exeter.

It’ll be interesting to see Malins back at 10, but it’s a bit of shame that we’re not seeing a full strength Bristol side.
I’d have liked to have seen Radradra vs. Slade for example.

Bedlow for Siale is a big call, think Exeter are looking for a more attritional style and Bristol looking to move them about and wear them out. Should be a close game and fingres crossed it's a home win.
It's more important for Exe though as if though lose Sale could go second, if Bristol lose then it's a shame but not a massive problem. Amazing how much things have changed since Exeter did us in the championship play offs!

Bet Henry is quite relieved tbh, but wholly different players.Scrumhead wrote:It’ll be interesting to see Malins back at 10, but it’s a bit of shame that we’re not seeing a full strength Bristol side.

Nice to see Nowell starting again, hopefully he's through his injury patch now.
Feels like the Exe pack and Joe never get a rest

Unfortunately, I feel like Nowell’s ‘injury patch’ has lasted the majority of his career.
I’m a big fan of his, but his body doesn’t seem to be the most robust.

They don't need a rest. They beat up most of the opposition at half throttle. It's like a training run.Danno wrote:Nice to see Nowell starting again, hopefully he's through his injury patch now.

Moon, Francis & Gray came off the bench last week and both LCD and Simmonds are little pocket rockets. Skinner though put one heck of a shift in last week - thought he was motm. Not sure Hill has been over playedDanno wrote:Nice to see Nowell starting again, hopefully he's through his injury patch now.

I'd like to know, in the case of locks, whether who stays on and who gets replaced is decided before the game or is it based on performance in the first 60 minutes or whatever? When Hill and Gray start it is invariably Hill who stays on.p/d wrote:Moon, Francis & Gray came off the bench last week and both LCD and Simmonds are little pocket rockets. Nowell's career is one long injury patch, poor chap.Danno wrote:Nice to see Nowell starting again, hopefully he's through his injury patch now.

Agreed- a lot of the Exeter pack have got zero rest, and its showing imo.

Yeah, I think the Simmonds brothers are looking pretty fatigued. They've had the odd patch here and there, but nothing substantial. You do wonder if they are going to run out of puff at some point. But then again Baxter has seemingly done a good job rotating his front 5 a little more.

Exe have been way off the pace this season. Baxter has spoken quite a bit about it. I'd definitely give bris the advantage tonight.

Personally I just dont want the game decided by "inconsistant" decisions from the ref'ing team.
Exeter favourites though as we're missing a 10 first teamers and pretty much the whole 1st team back line (except POC) - Harry Thacker, Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro, Ben Earl, Nathan Hughes, Harry Randall, Callum Sheedy, Semi Radradra, Henry Purdy.

Sale basically just beat up the Bristol pack for their win, so you would think Exeter are looking to do the same

Wait, so neither Piutau nor Malins gets in your first choice backline?jimKRFC wrote:Personally I just dont want the game decided by "inconsistant" decisions from the ref'ing team.

Obviously, it's a rotated side; which, with a 12 point lead over 2nd place, and 16 points in hand over the risk of losing a home SF you have earned the right to do; but it's not a full A-team either

Malins issue is that he has to shift either Callum or Charles... just realised I missed Naulago of the injured list. Backs selection will be tough when the injuries clear up!

Malins needs to take it to the line a bit more. He's playing a touch too deep, and the Chiefs defence are just drifting off him as he's sort of just standing still and giving.
What a score that is from Bris though
