This should be a good watch. 2 attractive sides playing some enterprising rugby.

Replacements: Cornish, Elrington, Chawatama, Munga, Donnell, Englefield, Atkins, Homer.
Harlequins: Brown; Green, Marchant, Esterhuizen, Murley; Smith, Care; Marler, Baldwin, Louw, Symons, Lamb, Lawday, Evans, Dombrandt (capt).
Replacements: Gray, Els, Collier, Lewies, Kenningham, Landajo, Edwards, Northmore.

Should be a good game. I fear Irish as we often don’t turn up against them and I think they will hurt us at the breakdown. At the same time, I do think we have a better side and if we can get Esterhuizen up against Jackson and Stokes, we could make hay.

Not a whole lot happening but enjoyable enough so far. Feels like it could spark to life at any point.
Irish feel a bit limited by Jackson at ten. I've never really seen it with him, but those outside backs look so dangerous but aren't being given quite enough time to cut loose.

Feels like this would be a try-fest if either team could keep hold of it.

Gutted for Evans with that injury, form 7 in the premiership for a little while now.

This one is a classic example of a cripple fight

I stand corrected, cripples would've defended that try somewhat better. Are Irish missing 2 or 3 players and the cards just aren't showing?

Marler just seems to play with a chip on his shoulder of trying to have a youtube compilation of his “funny antics” every game. I found it amusing the first 10 years of his career but its a bit boring now. Class player that aside.

They were making a big fuss about him standing still inside the 22 so they could clear it on the next phase, Dallaglio wrongly saying it was already inside the 22. Was there something else?
Well now even as I'm typing it Marler is walking around holding Blair Cowan in the air for some reason.

Haha yes. Also lineout antics this game.
Well there was the AWJ ball grab and Haskell as other glaring examples. Just seems like he’s trying add to Brand Marler alot of the time instead of actually just playing the game, yet still is still a very influential player.

Good try that, but bloody stupid by Esterhuizen. You'd think this only goes one way now

Awful game management by irish, it seems like its taboo to go for three points anymore. Imagine theres been some kind of wide-spread analysis of it being the worse option compared to ball in hand, but they left 6 points out there.

Ridiculous game really. What a jammy win. Irish should be incredibly disappointed they let that get away.

Good finish by Smith but really Quins should have been out of it after the red card. Irish should be kicking themselves.

all rather chuckle brothers, both the inept comedy, and the 'to me to you' transfer of play. or to put another way, there's nothing like halfbacks controlling the play, and that was nothing like halfbacks controlling the play

Commentary was no better, Loz + Goode would only be surpassed by Healy in the middle. Unbearable.

Healey does actually know what he's talking about he just feels the need to make stupidly over the top comments that are blatantly not correct. Like yesterday when he said Paul Hill was the best prop around the park in world rugby. I think it was Ben Kay asked about the Tadgh Furlong chap at which point Austin's point somewhat unravelled.

That was rather comical, I thought I'd misheard it at first.

Healey suffers from the misconception that he is some sort of great wit. He isn't. Someone should tell him to concentrate on the rugby, where occasionally he will make an astute point.
David Flatman IS funny and capable of genuine wit and insight. The C5 coverage yesterday with Flats, Grayson and Barnes was pretty good.

I was impressed by Barnes as a summariser when I heard him the other week. He's definitely got a career there when he retires.
