U18s vs Italy

U18 team to play Italy at Millfield today.

Woodward (no relation) at 12 can also play 10 and 15, bit of a hope he'll kick on and make the Tigers development squad next summer. Pretty sure he won some judo age grade comps before taking up rugby full time as well. We've had issues keeping hold of our playmaking backs in recent times.

Finn Carnduff on the bench is a lock/6 who seemed to score tries to for the academy side last season. Don't know much about the other two Tigers cubs other than Meredith is a flyhalf and Barraclough is an athletic hooker/flanker.

Anyone know who we should be looking out for in this group?

Taekwondo whilst in Germany. Though I think he did also go to Friary Judo in Lichfield for a while. I think.

In terms of players the whole front row is worth keeping tabs on, as is Browne in the second row.

Both centres, Woodward and Toby Elliott look good and I like the look of Jake Metcalfe. Also heard really good things about Sam Harris.

Italy won 27 v 17. I know Will Gilderson got a brace, but not much beyond that.

Italy are really getting some good age-grade results through of late. Hope they can translate that into adult players.

Good result for the Italians. Their u20's were pretty decent in the last 6Ns.
