If I was being cynical I suspect they would have done at home. For the short away trip why bother paying to flesh the team out from local clubs? It's Bristol whom I presume are losing out on match day earnings as a result.

I wonder who pays the refunds on tickets? Though presumably insurance covers this kind of thing?

Insurance covering Covid disruption must cost a bomb. From the little I know of corporate insurance most don't want to touch anything that involves Covid in any way.
