Solid side for Glos - would personally have LRZ on the wing and Santi at 15 with Chapman starting, as Meehan is a bit slow and kicks too much. Home advantage on a Friday night should be enough I hope.

Wuss are improving and have some really good young backs but Glos should have a bit too much for them.

Not far off the Wuss first XV there though and they've got some players in very decent form. I could see them springing a surprise.

You think? heard their squad has been decimated by Covid. I'm not sure that's close to a 1st XV, but agree there's always space for a surprise.

The bench does look very green. Looks like they've got some back from injury. Hatherall's return is a plus. No Shillcock at 15 is a loss though, he was playing PRC last weekend.

The first XV looks about right to me apart from Shillcock and Lawrence's absence (and the latter's something that they should be used to by now). I will admit to not having followed them religiously - who else are they missing?

No Sutherland, no van der Merwe, no Venter, no Lawrence and no Shillcock. Missing a good few first choice players.

Good point, well made. Apologies - that's clearly weaker than I thought.

No need to apologise. I’m mostly annoyed that van der Merwe is out for the fantasy. He’s scored me a princely -4 points since I signed him.

That's very disappointing. Not only is my Friday night now rugby free - but suspect we will get 4 points rather that the 5 we hoped for/needed.

Shame they can't be like community rugby teams - I'm sure Glaws would lend them an old boy who reckons he can play front row just so they can have a game.

That has actually been suggested on Shedweb  Lend them Knight and Seville ;)

The cynic in me suspects that had this been a home game they'd have scraped a team together. As it is they'll hope for a 4-1 points split I guess. Get a point in the bag and move on.

Now there's the quandary of stick with Ackerman and Finn Smith in the fantasy team and get average points of gamble and replace them.

Last minute front row fitness check failed from what i'm hearing, and if this was not covid then I believe it is 20-0 and a 5 point victory. Lets see what the panel decides.

Glos did offer Hartpury players but Worcester declined.

I'm sure the circumstances are exceptional but given they only had 4 props available, why wasnt some attempt made to get short term cover in juts in case the 4th prop failed his fitness test? There isnt a full Champ programme this weekend so there was surely the possibility of bringing a couple of players in as a one off. Hartpury dont have a game for instance.
They may done this of course and been told no but its disappointing to see a late cancellation.

Edit - just seen Karlos comment so Q answered!

Worcester are top of the PRC group and have a key game against Bath on Wednesday. Call me a cynic but look our for a whole load of recoveries and full strength team for that.....

Yes I think you're right there. Prem game away from home where they can't get relegated and are unlikely to bear Glaws. Sack that off and then prepare for a competition mid week in which they are well placed.

Suits Wuss but I suspect Glaws will be fuming if a strong Wuss side is named on Tuesday.

Don't Glaws get a 5 pointer?

A tribunal decides but Glaws lose out the cash on tickets, food and drink.

And COVID affected games have previously been 4 and 2 points, although I don't know if this will be counted as a COVID cancellation or a no front row cancellation.
