Bristol packing the bench again so expect them to play high tempo and try to wear down Sale again. A serious upgrade at 15 will no doubt give them victory in the first half mind.

Sale have a du Preez and Manu back so should be bringing more firepower though their lack of a natural openside did hinder them last week and may do again.

Briatol sounds like a performance enhancing drug.

Strange Bristol have gone with Radradra and Piutau on the bench again.

Manu played last week as well, Bedlow at 12 is mainly to stop him I think.

He started at 12, so guess it was just a bad game! Didn't watch it as I was at a mixed ability festival in Windsor so can't comment on it...

You were better off at the festival. First half was a shocker, I stopped watching after that.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that this will be a better game than the first leg.

I’m not sure why this happened but I now hear Rich Lane to the tune of Rick James’s Brick House. I don’t even know what the guy looks like.

Rich Lane’s on fire
Your defence is terrified

Na Na nana nana nana

to the tune of Freed from Desire by Gala….. which I believe is Oakboy’s favourite dance tune after Addicted to Base by Puretone.

Manu could at least give the excuse of being not up to. Match speed yet. God knows what the rest of them are falling back on.

It is a much better game (although it couldn't be much worse). Lane's been excellent so far for Briz.

Statistic of the day referenced by the commentary - Sale have just scored their first try in over 3 hours of rugby. Enthralling. And it was a short-range rumble after a lineout drive.

Jake Kerr has been given the shepherd's crook after 32 minutes after Briz have been having lineout and scrum problems. Brutal decision-making by Lam; let's see if it pays.

Reed's just about to get a red card. Got stepped by Morahan and shoulders him in the head. Could be a game changer.

Lane is off for Piutau. Bristol are doomed.

And, as I type that, Bristol screw up the kickoff receipt and Sale score 12 seconds from the kick-off. Wouldn't've happened if Lane were still on the pitch.

Can't see Brizzle coming back from here. Might be 15 vs 14, but it's also 13-33 on aggregate.

He’d have also scored the Bristol try twice.

Edit:
He’d have also scored the Bristol try in spite of the forward pass.

Sinckler's not doing himself many favours in terms of England reckoning. Rodd is absolutely demolishing him in every single scrum - Sale are driving through immediately on the shove and putting the ball in as it goes so they're getting a head-start, but Sinckler's still getting utterly folded.

Seems odd that Sale are being allowed to chase the scrum straight through - should the ref not be insisting on a steady engagement before the contest starts.

Schonert shouldn't be off here, contact looks like it's ball/shoulder to me

The ref should, but Sale have their timing down absolutely perfectly - Faf puts the ball in immediately, so it's really hard to tell in real-time that it wasn't put-in-then-drive. If I were Bristol, I'd be in the ref's ear and then have Randall give De Klerk a little shove just before the ball is put in to put him off and try and destroy the syncrony to make it obvious that the drive is happening regardless of the putin.
