Interesting decision-making - while Trump is clearly guilty of many things, the Attorney General must be confident that this raid will allow him to definitively prove at least one of them. The raid has already resulted in the expected hornet's nest of We-Back-The-Blue-Unless-They're-Going-Against-Trump wankers complaining about "police state" and "unprecedented corruption" and "police raids aren't for WHITE people!" (paraphrased) and that's a lot to stir up if you aren't absolutely certain. You come at the king, you'd best not miss, unless you want rabid gun-toting Alex Jones fans deciding to hunt you as a traitor, or however the expression goes.

Should be interesting times.

Some speculation that the documents held by trump include highly classified documents concerning nuclear weapons. Apparently the Attourney General has asked a court to unseal the papers seized so it can be shown exactly what they found. But as you say if trump did have very sensitive documents then it’s as close to open and shit as you can get.

I was sitting there wondering, "Why on earth would Trump, who I remain dubious can read without his lips moving, want to deliberately keep *paperwork*?!" It just didn't make sense to me in terms of the character of the man. I had assumed it must've been a genuine mistake (cause gods know he doesn't know his arsehole from his earhole) and the paperwork must've been accidentally bundled in with the stuff he wanted to loot.

Then, this little snippet came out and it all made sense. Of course he'd want to keep proof and mementos that he once had a nuclear penis. Of course he would. That is grade A Trump, right there.

He's also got enough money to pay someone with a moderate intellect to write his own biography.

Ex-President Donald Trump may have concealed and removed documents during an FBI visit to his property in June, Department of Justice officials say.
In a court filing, the department said "efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government's investigation".

I think you're being overly charitable. He's selling secrets or using intelligence for blackmail or both.

Fat Hitler has probably personally signed documents for sale to the highest bidder. A deeply flawed character, to put it mildly. Wish MacDonalds and KFC would just claim his fat arse and we could be rid of this stain.
