Lawrence and Redpath should be fun. They're great friends off the pitch.

Francis over Bailey continues to perplex me.

Just adds to the quality of players in Bath's backline that will get ineffectively used!
None of the Wuss loan forwards been picked, which is odd. Annett due to make his debut though, as long as he doesn't get another red from the bench.

I’m less happy when we play Meehan at 9. Rest of that Glos side is fine. Play like we did against Sarries and it should be a win. Play like I expect Glos to in a derby? I’m less convinced.

Didn't Annett play last week? Now there's a guy who's probably not got any remorse about leaving in the summer

Did he? Obviously missed that!
He might not have remorse, but I'm imagining Bath's accountants are looking at his contract and thinking they could've got him a bit cheaper if they waited!

Even I as a glaws boy feel a bit for Bath there. Tremendous fight but the basics were poor. Having got to 17-21 - with two gettable conversions- they should have put us away. But lineout was poor all game and got worse when they needed; Glaws scramble defence survived despite three yellows.

Bath did really well to come back into that but they've got to get going in games before h/t. Thought Lawrence did well, Cokanasiga impressed and Reid was terrific up front.
Glaws did enough but it looks like they've copped a couple of nasty injuries.

Lack of game time showed I think for Glos, looked knackered at times, can’t normally expect to win with three yellows gifted. Bath will take some heart from that, no doubt.

One trivial aside that only occurred to me because I have a close friend who is an avid Scottish supporter - both Redpath and Hastings looked rubbish.

Luckily players aren’t judged on one or even a handful of games.. other than Furbank and Porter.

Cokanasiga looks as fit as I’ve seen him. Very involved and powerful. Lawrence should be in the England squad.

Yeah it's a real boost for England to see them both looking fit and in some form. Lawrence reads in defence were particularly impressive, coming out the line at the right time to interrupt Glaws attacks.
