Jim Hamilton, who is perhaps a dubious source, reckons there are two clubs on the brink beyond Wuss and Wasps. I know LI are being hawked around for a minuscule figure. The owner of Sale is also openly looking for an investor.

Only heard the LI one, Sale could be likely - they never seem to get much in the way for crowds.

Bristol now playing Exeter on Saturday as a friendly. Not sure what sort of side we can send down there as we're also playing Glaws...

Sale looking for an investor isn't quite the same level of desperation, I would have hoped. With a team that's finally looking to be on the up, the game needs top level rugby in the northwest.

As a Wasps fan this is deeply distressing. But it can't be said to be a surprise.

I think Sale are on a pretty sure footing tbh. Both of their owners are wealthy & committed. The line about looking for investment was a bit of a throw away, semi joking tweet where he said he wouldn’t mind going into business with a billionaire.

Don’t know where the Irish stuff comes from tbh. Maybe off the back of Hamilton running his mouth about other clubs struggling and a process of elimination. Hopefully a bit of 2+2 = 5 going on.

Fissler in a nutshell, that is. The problem is that he is relatively well connected, so it's hard to tell whether this is one of the occasions where he's being a shit-stirring dick or where he actually knows something.

Not really sure what the RFU can do. If they step in at any point, the clubs who have gone down before that point will, quite reasonably, be up in arms that they weren't saved.

The situation at Worcester and Wasps was highlighted initially by the press printing stories about both clubs that turned out to be accurate.

There will certainly be clubs struggling and in real danger, it remains to be seen though whether any are also on the verge of administration.

A lot of Quins fans don’t like the games at Twickenham, but looking at the situation right now, they’re a godsend.

Yep.

Tigers now won't have another home game until the 27th November (well bar the Wednesday PRC game Vs Newcastle). That's going to hurt.

Newcastle also face an early end to the season with Wuss and Wasps their last two games.

Exe are playing a friendly vs Bristol instead of this.
