Saracens don't have a safety certificate for their new stand so are limited to 9999 attendance. Thus they never met the MSC for the stadium and should not have been promoted.

is there no end to the evil of this club? They should pay for Wasps and Worcester to continue on. Actually thinking about it they should pay everyone’s bill.

I know bashing Sarries is fun, but as far as I understand it, the issue here is their Local Authorities capacity to deal with processing their application, which was made in a fairly timely fashion.

If we're casting anyone as the villain in this scenario it's austerity obsessed tory governments of the last decade who have stripped LAs of the ability to do this stuff fast.

The issue here is not the government.

The thing I was getting at was that two clubs were barred from promotion because they had insufficient crowd capacity and they were unable to get a MSC for the grounds. But here, we have Sarries with insufficient (under the rules preventing others coming up) crowd capacity and without the MSC. It's (another) case of the PRL/RFU having one rule for one and another for others.. Under the rules applied to others Sarries shouldn't have been allowed up until they have over 10K capacity & the MSC.

Sarries not at fault here (for once).
But you can basically guarantee if this same/similar situation happened to one of the teams coming up from the Champ, they would be denied promotion

Very much doubt it. If Ealing or Doncaster owned the StoneX AND had just spent £20m+ on building a new stand a bit of red tape wouldn’t be an issue.

Really wouldn't.
There's a genuine world of difference between having a stand that's awaiting certification, and not having a stand, or having a plan for a stand, whilst not confirming funding to build a stand.
