The Unfortunate Mr Osborne.

Post by UGagain »

According to Larry Elliot of the oh so progressive Guardian.

George Osborne, the really unfortunate chancellor

"Like some of his predecessors, Osborne has to cope with a trade deficit and budget deficit at the same time"

https://www.theguardian.com/business/20 ... de-deficit

My heart bleeds.
As for the maths. There are mathematic 'theories' on both sides, they are not the same as mathematical facts. I asked for maths.

The Guradian is a shameless propaganda organ of the establishment. Rusbridger was just a lot cleverer at the game than the heinous Kath Viner is.

And Larry Elliot is an economic illiterate.

Spin = lies.

Its source of revenue is advertising, the chair of the trust is a Dame and its chief editor earns £340k/yr. Most of its journalists have a privileged background and a relatively narrow education (e.g. Oxbridge).

So yes, it's never going to be outside of the establishment. It is more progressive than most of the press but its heirarchical structure still retains considerable power in the hands of the editor who in this case is anti-Corbyn.

We'd be worse without it, but it is for sure not outside of the establishment.

I think they should alter the structure to allow guardian readers to elect the editor. Some kind of mutual structure would be best.

Considering that they're purging much of their informed readership and alienating any remaining progressives, I can't see that happening.

The censorship and the paid trolling btl has rendered it worthless.
