Should be a good one.

Memo to Quins: Must play for the full 80.

That's a pretty meh tight five for Glasgow. Quins should be looking to cause some damage up front and with that momentum make life miserable for Glasgow.

How's the Quins tight fix. Have only heard of Walker and Collier but don't watch much prem.

For Glasgow, McBeth has been improving fast and Williamson is our current big hope to fill our void of big dominating second rows in Scotland. Will be interesting to see how he goes.

Fin Baxter is a unit at loosehead. Only 22, but he'll play for England sooner rather than later - possibly in ahead of Marler on form. Hammond and Gerbst are fine as far as second rows are concerned - nothing outstanding, but they'll do a job.

Hammond to be fair to him is a good set piece lock. Irnst throws his weight around but I'd agree, solid clubman. Walker is a good all rounder at hooker. Baxter is heir apparent to Marler (without the tendency to get himself in hot water).Collier is an experienced tighthead, little bit old school, he'll be good in the tight (really only his work rate around the park costing him England caps).

As a tight five unit I'd expect them to be good at scrum time and efficient at the lineout, rolling maul isn't a noted Quins strength but it's better than you thing it will be.

Glasgow would be well advised to play for territory and pressure Care. His clearing box kicks are a weakness and when they've been got at before is when the forwards are pinned into their own half and after work hard to help the team get out. Patience early doors from Glasgow and it might open up in the second half.

Well that was pretty much exactly what you’d expect from these two sides I suppose.

Both of them being excellent at times and both of them trying desperately to lose it at various points. Quins really are a bizarre team and seem to be a bad influence on everyone they play!

Quins sure know how to blow a game, but you forget many of the Glasgow team are Scotland players who have blown games at the highest level.

Some great moments, and some truly hilarious tackling technique from Danny Care, but some really shoddy stuff as well. A few fantastic periods of Quins defence won it though.

Franco Smith has generally done a very good job with them but they really lacked composure today. I’d have loved to see Huw Jones get a return to the stoop.

What did you make of the reffing? I felt like Quins got away with quite a lot to be honest.

On the ref, the graun makes a point of mentioning it in their report. I wasn't paying attention to the game so couldn't judge.

Ref did seem to ref one side at a time. Dont think he made any glaringly bad calls, or missed too much that was obvious.

It was an odd game with both sides looking good at times. Quins l/o was dreadful. Surprised Glasgow didnt contest the key l/o that led to the mauled winning try. They surely had to pressurise the throw.

Marcus Smith showed why he should have the England 10 shirt. He is a constant try-scoring threat to the opposition. That threat from 9 and 10 can be the difference in tight matches. One of Mitchell, JVP or Quirke can provide it 9. MS, with his pace, step and nerve, is simply the hardest of our FH candidates to stop.

I thought the ref was wrong to penalise Evans on one occasion. The issue of a player not rolling away when he is being held in by the opposition needs looking at.

10 is also (mostly?) about making the five backs outside you a ‘try scoring threat to the opposition’. I’m not saying M Smith doesn’t do that but it’s a wider argument than how much of a threat a 10 is as an individual. That said, being such a running threat naturally opens up space for others.

Tbh, every time I watch one of our three fly-halves play at present, I come away from the game thinking, "That's the one that should be the guaranteed starter." It's a good problem to have.

Yeah, you have some good options there. It's about getting a coherent team about them.

This game was strange. A good game but felt both teams would have been disappointed to lose. Glasgow will definitely feel they should have won if they had performed.

Amazingly the lineout sorted itself out when Riley came on.

Walker is genuinely out 5th best hooker
