This week it's Coles, Moon and Langdon who get rested completely, with Dingwall given a sit on the bench. Still manages to look a strong team despite the rotation. Good to see Lockett get a start.

Should be a good watch. 2 sides who like to play with plenty of tries in them.

Looking forward to this one and the battle of the (should be) England tens

Well that’s a tough one for Care.

Something comical about Care high tackling Lawes

It was certainly an effective technique from Lawes.

Awful call, never a knock on

Terrible call. Perhaps balances things a little though.

I hope the second half has fewer questionable moments from the officials.

Is James Ramm good enough to play for Australia?

I feel for him in a way. He doesn’t want to have to make any of these calls in either direction as he’s somehow reffing his own/ex team.

The rules around the ruck, particularly involving scrum halves, are a mess.

I feel for him in the sense that he's been promoted far beyond his capabilities and should be refereeing a much lower level

Well that was much more entertaining than the game last night. Saints should have done better given Quins were down to 15 men for a fair chunk of the game. Care should have seen a second yellow, Dickson even had his hand half way out of his pocket with the card before realising it was his chum. Total joke this guy.

Carley looked like he'd been promoted from Saturday Social leagues in the other game. Not a great day for the Prem officials it seems.

I don't understand how we're producing refs at such severe ends of the spectrum. Barnes/Pearce vs. Carley/Dickson is night and day.

I don't understand how refs like Dickson and Carley are promoted over refs like Leal, Cox and Smales.

I don't understand who keeps selecting Dickson to ref his former club. Cannot understand the logic. Ends up with ridiculous situations like yesterday post match where Ugo and Care are having a good laugh on TNT Sports about how he got away with it. Not a great look for a professional sport.

Its just all too matey. At least Dallglio called it right: it was a stonewall card and it should have been issued.

Dont know about Dickson being ruled out of reffing Quins. He should be able to be objective. But i'm 100% in favour of Monye being nowhere near the broadcast when Quins are playing.

Even if he is 100% not influenced by his former career and friendships at the club - it's just obviously always going to call him into question every time with the viewing public. And not just with opposition - a lot of Quins fans feel like he judges them more harshly in an attempt to not be seen as biased. Remember the Marler/Heenan incident with the comments made about Heenan's mum, which Dickson claimed not to hear. Similar questions raised by supporters about Dickson then. There's a very easy solution.

It's very much this isn't it? If we're accepting that refereeing art this level is an incredibly hard job, which I think all reasonable people do, then not doing anything which makes it that much harder seems to be a no-brainer.

It appeared from my seat in the ground at Welford Road that Steven Luatua did something very similar Vs Tigers yesterday and that was only a penalty even though it was a metre or two from his own line.

At least the poor reffing is consistent.
