That looks a more combative Falcons team now that they are at home. I suspect some more Steve Diamond style fight will be imbued in them this time. I don't think it will be enough but Bath might have to actually work for the win.

He’s not wrong, though.

That's a fairly standard Diamond media broadside. He used to aim those at Tigers quite a lot back when we were reliably good.

The unavailable list for Falcons is pretty rough.

Not available for selection: Phil Brantingham, Murray McCallum, Kiran McDonald, Elliott Obatoyinbo, Hugh O’Sullivan, Tom Penny, Pedro Rubiolo, Ben Stevenson, Philip van der Walt.

Both teams showing well in the NE.
Bath converting to points, Newcastle forwards looking for a fight, whilst their backs are desperate to play some rugby.
Pepper definitely making himself known amongst the Bath players.

Make that 0 - 21, as Coka shrugs off 2 tackles, and carries another 2 over the line with him

And finally, Newcastle actually convert.

Blamire at the back of the lineout maul

Du Toit’s try rate must be right up there for any tighthead at this level.

And that's the fourth, from Gallagher
5 - 28
38 min.

Looks like Finn just made up a training ground move on the fly, told Cam and Matt and Will what was going to happen, waited for them to be in position, and demanded the ball (to Cam).

Redpath takes the ball flat, attracts the tackler, and pulls back to Finn, with Muir charging up on his left shoulder, and Gallagher on his right. The moment the ball is in Finn's hands, Gallagher changes his line to outside and ghosts around the defence. Coka stays wide, preventing his defender from helping out.

Newcastle score a 2nd try with the clock in the red. 15 man maul off the lineout.
