Oh FFS. It must be something that the coaches are seeing, cause that's about the seventh Leicester coach in a row who seemingly doesn't rate him.

If he picked up a knock to miss the game last week then getting him out on loan to get some game time makes sense. I don't mind it so much this week as we aren't playing a plodder at 7 and against Bath it's not a bad idea to have additional physicality on the bench. He better get some more game time than last season, bloody ridiculous how little game time he got under McKellar. The season before that he did have an injury.

Be interested in Sarries to Ampthill after Easter’s comments on Twitter. They, Scottish and Nottingham are tekkin the piss somewhat, given the Champ informal agreement

What agreement is that?

Starting XV

1 Richard Barrington (vc) 2. James Hadfield 3. Harvey Beaton 4. Kennedy Sylvester 5. Kaden Pearce-Paul 6. Olamide Sodeke 7. Max Eke 8. Lekima Ravuvu 9. Rory Morgan 10. Josh Barton (c) 11. Brandon Jackson 12. Josh Hallett 13. Angus Hall 14. Imi Qorowale 15. Oran McNulty

Replacements

16 James Isaacs 17. James Flynn 18. Dom Hardman 19. Aidan King 20. Karl Main 21. Decland Murphy 22. Evan Mitchell 23. Fraser Strachan

Is the starting team for Ampthill. Hatfield, Sodeke and Hall are all Sarries aren't they? I think Beaton left Sarries in the summer.

Informal sign up to no more than 6 loan players in match day squad. Clearly not adhered to

Notts and Ampthill had I think four a piece so that would be in keeping. Admittedly I might be missing more Sarries players for Ampthill but Notts have only borrowed Van Der Flier, Manz ,Ilione and Myall (good result for Notts).

Ampthill had 7 sarries from 1-10 when I stopped counting. Easter did some top trolling! https://x.com/nick_easter/status/1839639476634579172

Scottish have at least 8 quins in their starting xv most weeks. When we played Ampthill at home last year, they had 8 sarries starters, plus two loan players from Ospreys, and they then brought on 3 more Sarries.

Not Barrington. My pals from Chinnor say 11 Sarries in the 23.

Whatever it’s still a bizarre model and why 3 Ampthill stalwarts have joined us.

Oh and were you aware that all of Scottish, Bedford, Nottingham, Ampthill pay a six figure sum to their Prem buddies for access to these players and also some coaches. Weird old world. Pirates, Scottish and Ampthill all declined to limit loanees.

Interesting. I suppose it depends how big the fee is and which coaches, amenities and players you get access to. If you get access to coaches, players and amenities above what you ordinarily would and it means you can cut back on your own coaches, players and amenities costs as a result it might well work for you as a club.

Well yes, that’s why they do it 😂😂. It’s the degree they do it to that is the issue if you look at Ampthill and Scottish especially. And Hartpury tbh, but a different model slightly.

Archie Van Der Flier, Tom Manz, Sam Williams and Charlie Myall all set to start for Notts tomorrow night.

Ilione not with Notts this week, hopefully means he's with the first team. Apparently he was in the Championship team of the week for his efforts last weekend.

Ampthill with 9 changes to their starting xv with a lot of Sarries going back home.

Beltus Nonleh recalled from us by Saints… in order for Bedford to play him.

What a lark.
