Re: Harlequins vs Stormers
I know they mess around with their flankers a bit in SA but the idea of Dave Ewers at openside is pretty funny. Then again we've gone for Chisholm there which is an odd call.
Thin looking in the front five again.

Unless FKAS has had a cheeky edit, Ewers is at 6?
Agree on Chisolm when Evans is benched. I guess we want CCS and Chisolm to go berserk for an hour then swap both out

Re: Harlequins vs Stormers
South African sides have tended to have the openside wear 6. Looks like Stormers are numbering it traditionally. No cheeky edit from me, can't speak for Mikey and his Friday lunchtime selection.

Yeah, FKAS got it. You guys are as bad as all those journos putting PSDT at openside in their teams of the week.
I was wondering if Nel was maybe an openside and they’ve just done it the ‘proper’ way round.

No, turns out I just can’t read. Somehow thought you were suggesting first half replacements.Danno wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 8:05 pmIt's the best sense I can make of itMikey Brown wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 5:36 pmLol. Half an hour? That’s Franco Smith stuff, though I’m not necessarily against it.
Chisholm always seems to be incredible when he comes off the bench. Rotating him and CCS in that role would seem like the idea plan. Similarly Kenningham seems like he should be a 6, but just works better at openside.
Maybe there is an element of saving them for the prem.
It’s interesting how far down the pecking order Lawday has dropped. Very rarely lets us down but doesn’t really have a spot anymore. A nice problem to have I guess.

Murley looking back to top form. Fantastic so far whether or not he gets this ball down.

No idea how that isn’t red for Herbst.
Maybe it saves the game to a degree, but why keep making changes (for the sake of safety) and then backtracking on enforcing them?
