Looks like it's going to be a long afternoon for Saints.

Yeah that's a rough line up. Having Ireland plus Snyman and then Jordie fucking Barrett to come off the bench. Brutal.

Yep they needed to be at full whack behind the pack, and even then it would look impossible. Leinster team is mad. How Pollock goes will be fascinating.

When you've got £5m more salary budget to throw around these things do look ridiculous.

Hope Saints give a good account of themselves and the England hopefuls emerge with some credit. Win the game? Er, forget it.

Can only agree with the above comments - that L side is crazily strong

Can only see one winner

Yeah, it’s a ridiculous team for Leinster.

From an England/Lions perspective there’s a few very interesting guys to watch out for. Nailed on Lions, 50/50 contenders, and those that will just want to show they should be getting a(nother) chance for England this summer.

This is as good an opposition as you can hope for to try and prove those points. Saints have nothing to lose really.

How can that be with a bone break? Did the medics get it wrong?

I'm no medic, but he came back for a game and it was obviously still sore following hard collisions and now he's off again

Isn't there an issue with the plate screwed in to stabilise the bone?

Aye that's what Dowson said after the Castre game - well, the issue being it's painful having a metal plate in your arm and smashing your arm into people.

The 2 injuries in Northampton backline are a pisser

Hmm. I still feel like it’s a potentially exciting game, but I guess that’s more to do with my interest in internationals. Any situation with potential for Irish embarrassment is worth supporting.

What’s the deal with Pearson? Does he make the Saints starting team when fit? Seems like Kemeny and Pollock have nailed down the flanker spots. He was on the fringe of the England squad a while back and feels like he’s dropped significantly down the pecking order.

Personally I'd rank Pearson and Kemeny similarly, but Kemeny has definitely been favoured in selection recently. Wonder if we might see him add a little more weight and play a bit of 8 next season with Augustus off and Pollock nailing down 7. His hard carrying is better than the other two.

Calum Chick is supposedly inbound to fill that 8 spot for Saints isn't he?

So the rumour mill suggests. Was hoping Cannone was coming but that seems to have died.
