Ive just read the interview with him in the Fail. He seems a lot more focused after a break away from the Welsh camp and for his sake, not to mention Cardiff and Wales, lets hope he can regain some of the form he was showing a few years ago. I don't think he will ever be the most rounded of players, but if he can match his strike rate of a couple of seasons ago then I think most of us could overlook the odd defensive lapse.
Shows, in my opinion, that sometimes players need a break away from the goldfish bowl, especially when injuries interfere.

They need a backline that can put him in space (running in straight lines) and a 15 who can cover his arse.
He'll come good...

So not Nipper then?
I think Anscombe can genuinely provide some creativity in your backline, and your centre partnership is looking decent this year. Perhaps Fish at full back with Nipper providing a bench cameo? They surely have to use him somewhere after contracting him.

Sorry, forgot.
I'm assuming that you are happy with the Scarlets backline this season though?

N arguments there. Hopefully, this more expansive style that Privac was referring to will emerge and mask some of your forward issues. It will make a welcome change from physical close quarters rugby that the north seems to be so keen on.
