I only saw the second half, but didn't make a massive impression. Mind, no-one did - it was a bitty game in terrible conditions with a terrible ref, and the majority of the half was spent with France attacking the edge of the 22 fruitlessly before knocking on or giving away a penalty for England to kick to touch and then lose the lineout and get mauled back to the 22 whereupon the cycle restarted.

I do hope this isn't a precursor to the tone of your 'highlights reel' after the main event .......though one can't help feeling it might be.

Though I'm sure we will hear talk of 'a wins a win, we are back on track and led by our captain we showed real aggression in defence'. To which he will add; 'I thought Courtney was immense today'

I only saw the last 20 minutes and France barely made it out of their own half...

Have any of you been watching these games much?

Anyone really standing out?

How's James Scott doing in the 2nd row? Not seen much of him at Warriors to be honest but with our lack of locks could feature next year.

Only seen one whole game and snatches of some of the others. Seen little of Scott but he is an U19 so will be available next year too.
From last year Street, Earl and Ibitoye look very fine players. Walker is a livewire hooker, Basham is a heavy duty grafting 6, Dingwall seems a very tidy footballer and the 2 fly halves, Grayson and Hardwick, show lots of promise.

I was really convinced Dino Lamb was over age - he seems to have been playing at this level for ages.

Any scrumhalfs who are going to storm the premiership any time soon? God knows we need some.

Ben White hasn't looked particularly likely this 6N, I'm afraid. Our hopes lie with Jack Maunder moving from Exeter, or White and Chudley both coming down injured simultaneously.

Who’s the other Tigers 9? Harry Simmons I think?? Looked quite promising when I saw him in the AW Cup.

He's a bit older at 21, isn't getting past Sam Harrison, and has no contract beyond the end of this season. I fully expect to see him given zero chance to prove himself before being offered an exciting opportunity in the Championship with London Irish/Nottingham.

Harry Simmons is 20 (he only turned 20 in November’s but becuase the cut off for U20’s is January he missed the age regrade by only 36 days)
He also signed a new deal in Jan https://www.leicestertigers.com/news/ti ... -contracts

Sooooooo........

Well, if you're going to bring something as mundane as *facts* into the discussion...

Good to hear he's signed a new contract, as I do have hope that he'll be good, but I am concerned that he'll spend that new contract getting FA gametime and stagnating.

Would be surprised if that happens TBH, MOC doesn't seem to mind playing young scrum halfs in the last 4 games Simmons had a decentish (10 + minutes) in 3 of them, and TBF Harrison has been excellent in the last 2 games, the fact that he was fine releasing Kitto early so he can bring up Simmons and White gives me confidence.

Interesting Tigers go into next season with all our 9's being academy products Youngs, Harrison, Simmons, White.

Agreed. I’m not a fan of O’Connor, but in fairness to him, Youngs and Harrison are the obvious choices to start/bench and he has given the younger guys opportunities in the AW Cup/since Youngs’ injury.

Seems to be a few links early on, which is a good sign. Will have to wait to see if they actually work though.

Entertaining stuff. Too many mistakes, but Ireland more than deserve their 15 points

Not getting me anywhere - just getting this weird film. Where are you all watching from?

Puja

ETA. Said weird film has turned out to be Conan the Barbarian. Was the game that bad that someone's decided to change the channel at Vipbox?

Nah it’s been pretty good so far!

Ibitoye looks the real deal, Earl has something about him too

That's the Leicester scrum half that I was saying hadn't looked hugely impressive this 6N earlier in the thread. Good to hear he's turning in a performance.

Ibitoye is pure class.

And, yes, Earl is going to be one to keep any eye.
