Harsh on G Horne, really don't understand the Harris infatuation & the back row balance feels a bit iffy to me. Otherwise happy enough.

Think G Horne has a shoulder injury.

Hopefully Wilson (and the rest of them) will play better than in the reciprocal fixture last year. Wilson’s attempt at a tackle on Polledri (?) prior to one of wee Tammy Allen’s tries was a disgrace. The whole team looked like they thought it was something to do after the lord mayor’s show that day.

Anyway, enough moaning. Am sure he and the rest of the boys will come good if they start like a train on Saturday (Italy usually do) and don’t let up. And I want to see some fucking re-start efficiency! Almost every time we scored against South Africa, they got points back immediately to eat into whatever gains we made.

So not quite enough moaning, but we can’t turn up like last time in Rome or at Twickenham and expect to get something. Am confident we won’t and that our boys, girls and under 20s will bring home the bacon.

Graham should be in over Kinghorn or Seymour and Wilson ffs

I find it really strange seeing a squad without a Gray brother listed. But the others have been on better form so its nice to see that we aren't scared to drop/rest players.

Wow. I really did not pay attention tot he bench selection. I thought it was Gray and Graham.

You can argue Gray hasn't been in great form but he has so much more credit in the bank than Wilson and then you could balance the team a bit better I think. It might be interesting to see what the team miss without him though.

Gray is injured as are GHorne and Maitland. Would expect Maitland to come back in for Ireland if fit. Both he and Seymour remain first choice wings for me. Like the look of Graham but he has been playing pro rugby for about two seconds.

Pleased to see Skinner starting at 6. Think his maul defence is potentially very good which will be important against Italy.

Italian team has a very strong Treviso flavour. Big backrow too.

Decent Italian side that. More balanced than has often been the case in the past. Their back row looks better quality / balanced than ours ...assuming Parisse still has the legs.

Would like to see some contestable box kicks raining down on Campagnaro and Hayward. Campagnaro is a very high quality player, but not a winger (he'll probably help himself to a hat trick now #biggerfishtofry)

6/10 from scotland this half, plenty of the usual fuckwittery but some decent stuff too. One day Scotland will stop trying to be too cute and start simply playing to their strengths.
