This is what winds me up with the media's obsession with Farrell. His mistakes usually don't even register.
I’m chronicling the major errors. I make it three. His absolutely abortion of a pass to Slade, when we were playing our way out of our 22, was very close to being the fourth.
Bouncing pass "to" May?

McKenzie is the business. With his stature, would he be anywhere near the England team?
Apart from his running skills - McKenzie is a tough little nut. He has taken several monster tackles in this game so far. Just gets up and gets on with it.
England midfield defence starting to look a bit sloppy, as they did against SA last week.
Fair play to both sides for some absorbing rugby in really foul conditions.

Still. If you’d given me 15-10 at half time I would have bitten your arm off for it.
When you look at the game so far none of our attack has been from good back play from the 10.
Even our best kicks are from Youngs, Slade and Daly.
Take away the DG Faz has done nothing, defence between 10,12 and 13 is still a mess fortunately the pack is up for it and covering a lot.
In fact the two good chances from the backs had Faz making a donkey of a pass to May and a try from a ball straight off the 9 by Youngs.
Yet he will be most English Pundits MotM so far.

That is something special - the England team firing flat out for the first 20 with composure and discipline. Even if it all goes to pot in the 2nd half, that gives us something substantial to work on.
Individual errors are irrelevant compared with the team unit actually giving a 'best possible' showing for a substantial start. Splendid.

This. Still think In Zud will win, but it’s not the man shaming I was expecting.

Apparently Farrell is rushing up out of defense and causing holes & overlaps. Great.
I'm listening on the radio... no stream.

Counted within the the three, along with the missed tackle on Bin Smuth and and the restart. They are only the major errors.
Edit: make that a definite 4. What was that kick?!?!

NZ hands on the ball from the ground in a ruck. Blatant and direct in view of the touch judge, but they get away with it.

No, it was OK because NZ have special dispensation to do whatever they want in the forwards.
