Don't stirrup trouble. Yes, punning but perhaps I butchered it.

It's all right, I didn't get the rump. I had some spare time, so thought I'd fillet.

No problem. Can I run this pasture though, Banquo...Do you reckon Puja's in the mood (sorry) for more bovine intervention or is he going to be seen but not herd henceforth on this thread?

I'll give you some lea-way; it'd be neat if he came back, but it's been sirloing since he had an appetite for puns after becoming a moo-d

Perhaps he is indeed saddled with responsibility. Either that or he fears getting his dairy air kicked in the pun steaks.

Is there a way to tag threads once they descend in to this so I don't keep opening them?

We're down it would seem to play South Africa A which technically isn't the Saffer next best team, meaning we can take the likes of Underhill on tour if wanted and it wouldn't tie them to anything. It's possible where the fixture list says South Africa A they mean Emerging Springboks, but I don't know what the RFU agreed to (going on the NZ tour debacle they don't know what they're agreeing to) so maybe it was intended not to tie anyone in.

If SA had any sense they'd make it a capped match, otherwise they'll continue their unacceptable player drain such as Brad Barritt, third choice irish hooker Richardt Strauss, Mo Botha and former German international Justin Melck

South Africa's "next senior" team as notified to World Rugby (and which would tie players to SA) has changed this year from "South Africa U20" to "Junior Springboks". I do not know whether this is just a change in name or if older players are now eligible.

England's remains the Saxons.

The Junior Springboks, I think aka the Emerging Springboks, aren't the u20s but a near South Africa A team with a specific additional selection criteria of not picking anyone with a senior cap. So either the fixture list has us down to play South Africa A as the person writing the list doesn't understand South African rugby, or SARU want to be able to pick some capped players for the games Vs the Saxons to give any new head coach more freedom, and perhaps the RFU had no idea what they were agreeing to, again.

There would seem to be a decent chance we're playing South Africa A and not the next best team, which would mean the tour will tie no additional players to either SA or England. If the RFU have loused this up again then in lieu of resignations they'll probably get a larger bonus.
