Since when did anyone think that investigations meant that guilt / punishment was assured?
That's been my biggest bugbear about this mess with the RFU involvement - everyone seems to be up in arms that the RFU are interested at all; when it always seems that if it was as minor as made out by Cips, the judge, Heinz and Glos; that no further action would be taken.
So all in all, exactly the right reaction from the RFU led to an awful lot of tied up knickers.

For me at least it remains why the feck were they involved at all, additional to why were they involved before the club had completed its process exactly as they'd said they wouldn't, and not even close to the right reaction from the RFU
