Heard about Finland trying this and now seeing a number of other countries/states trying it too.

Instinctively, and with no knowledge of economics, it seems like a cracking idea to me, although I'm not sold on all the freedoms mentioned in the article. I still think there is huge potential for inequality and strife if UBI isn't done properly, which it almost certainly wouldn't be.

Looking to the future, my biggest concern is the march of automation and how society deals with that and the potential loss of jobs for so many. This could be a way of dealing with that.

Finland is a neoliberal nut house that is being voluntarily strangled by being in the Eurozone.
